Harvest Time!

While the summer is still in full swing, and they is still much more of it to enjoy, there are vegetables ready and waiting to be harvested!  On July 26th at 9:30 a.m. Rye’s HomeGrown will be having its second harvest of the season.  During this time, we hope to harvest the red and green lettuces, the Red Russian Kale, the Pak Choi, and zucchinis.  Part of this produce will be donated to Ryerson’s Community Food Room, a place on campus that provides food to those who need it, and part of the bounty will be shared with participants.  If you are able to make it please e-mail FoodSecurity.Ryerson@gmail.com by Monday, July 25th at 12 pm.

Thank-you for your continuous support and assistance, this couldn’t be done without YOU!

À votre santé,
Rye’s HomeGrown

  1. Hi Rye's HomeGrown, Wish you the best during this summer harvest time. Your gardens around Ryerson are beautiful and I've seen many people passing by the garden on Gould and stopping to take a look and read the sign!If you're interested, I've taken some photos of your garden recently to capture the success you've had. You can find them here (Gould street and RAC gardens) and feel free to reference them on your blog:http://www.flickr.com/photos/justintung/tags/ryes/I also help maintain an urban garden at 777 Bay Street and we've worked together with your group on transplants and seedlings
