At Ryes Homegrown, we always have a number of events, free workshops, and volunteer opportunities in the works that can help you learn new skills, engage with your community, and increase your personal connection with the food that you eat.
Every week, we host our Get Growing Mondays events, where we encourage volunteers to get their hands dirty and join us in planting, harvesting, and selling produce, building containers for planting, and helping with whatever upkeep is required as the season progresses. Get Growing Mondays often also involve free workshops, which are great ways to develop new skills connect with fun and passionate individuals from the Ryerson community who share a love of growing and eating good food.
You can sign up by e-mailing us at firstname.lastname@example.org, or showing up to our Gould Street site at 10 am.
If you can’t make a Get Growing Monday, we also have other volunteer opportunities throughout the week. If you have some free time throughout the week and want to help out, feel free to ask us when we will be around.
In addition to our regular volunteer opportunities, we often have upcoming special events that we invite our community members to participate in.
